Treatment Philosophy
Unfortunately, the source of many injuries is not always clear-cut and well-defined. Underlying issues at or outside the injured area may contribute to current symptoms, making the clinical presentation unclear. However, if these contributing factors are not adequately identified and treated, injuries may not completely resolve, setting the stage for repetitive and chronic symptoms.
In my clinic, I believe that knowing what to treat is just as, if not more important, as knowing how to treat. For this reason, I start with a comprehensive examination to rule out any contributing factors to your symptoms regardless of injury type. By starting with a broader focus before narrowing it down to the injury site, I can better identify and address any underlying issues that may impair healing. As a result, the risk of re-injury and chronic pain decreases while the chance for complete recovery increases.
